LittleBigPlanet receives worldwide delay

A single tear is at this very moment trickling down my cheek. LittleBigPlanet has been pushed back by almost a week in both the U.S and Europe. The new release date is the 27th of October in the U.S and the 31st of October in Europe. The reasoning behind this, apparently, is that there was some quotes from the Qur'an, mixed into one of the in-game pop songs. After being asked, respectfully, by a muslim reviewer to remove the content as he considered it offensive the game was recalled. I start my new job on the 26th of October and was planning to have 2 days of LBP time in before I started working. Darn It!

Oh well, in other news Soul Calibur IV gets new downloadable content on the 23rd of October in the form of Jedi Master Yodi. Finally Soul Calibur fans can pair the 2 up against one another for the measly cost of $5. So worth it! Farcry 2 becomes the first 3rd party game to get its own "Home Space" in the playstation home community. Hopefully someday when home actually becomes available to everyone, we will be able to check it out.

More Resistance 2 details announced this week as well with Insomniac claiming the game will have over 100 hours of Co-Operative campaign play, with the single player campaign ringing in at about 10-12 hours. Also Insomniac have taken a leaf out of Bungies book, with MyResistance.net, which goes live in 2 weeks and features stat tracking and leaderboards similar to that of Halo 3. No bad thing I can assure you!

Well folks thats it, some good news... some bad *Sniffle*
But at least there are still plenty of hot new games coming over the next few weeks and you can expect reviews as soon as they become available, here at Ps3trophys.com
